But the AMA issued a good advisory this week (now there's a rarity!) saying that we would be useless unless we were trained to work in those situations. In other words, they need ER and trauma docs, not family practice ones like me and especially ones that have had experience in these very situations. In fact, when I went to the Catholic Medical Mission Board website, they referred me to a form on affiliate sites because they already had enough experienced doctors on the scene. So, at this point, I probably would be as helpful as a 10 year old girl :) Still, I can donate, pray and hopefully, when things settle down in a few months, actually help in person.John P Cosgrovenoreply@blogger.com
